This document represents the basic idea of how different members of a project (client, designers, project administrator, company administrator) can use the system to consolidate project data and results, allocate resources to deliver results on time, with the best quality. Informational database grows from project to project and includes FAQ's, construction dictionaries, construction rules, etc. Public drawings database is updated automatically when project is completed and drawings are ready to became stock plans. Every member of the project has password access to the system and works with a limited part of the data. Access to data is defined by member role. Email notification system notifies project members and a client about new results, tasks, inserts, comments, etc. Project protocol section keeps members updated with the current direction of the Project, and retains all related documents in specific areas. Project and company administrators keep track of company/project resources, time-lines, and have the ability to receive daily reports. The system uses features and functionality of the file system and all the advantages of database running applications through the WEB. Database data, on the other hand, keeps the stability of reusable data. The system supports multi-company, multi project templates, and multi projects structure. In other words, every company can set up different project templates, specific for that company, including specific database applications. When a template of a project is created, it can be reused for all projects of the same type. To demonstrate the potential of the system we chose a 'floor
plans/elevations' type of project. For other type of projects, different
database application will appear on the left.
